What if you could see your district's numbers clearly?
Primary-source research on enrollment, budgets, pension costs, and staffing, so a district can see its own situation and the options open to it.
Get in touchWhat we doWhat we do
Oregon districts have spent recent years cutting teaching and administrative staff as costs rise, including costs set by state and federal requirements. Most districts no longer have an analyst on staff to show how those pressures play out in their own budget. We do that research, from public records, and hand it to the district.
Enrollment and demographics
Cohort survival, kindergarten capture, birth-to-enrollment trends, and forecasts, with the method shown.
Finance and required costs
Budget and expenditure detail, PERS and pension-bond costs, special education, transportation, and other legally required costs, traced to the filing they come from.
Staffing and outcomes
Staffing, class size, attendance, and academic results, set beside similar districts for context.
Briefs and reports on request
A district names the question it is wrestling with. We lay out the evidence and the trade-offs, using the district's own data.
- Public records only. ODE filings, audited financial statements, adopted budgets, signed contracts, and board packets.
- Every figure cited. Each number carries its source and a confidence label: Confirmed, Estimated, or Unverified.
- Options, not verdicts. We show what would happen under different choices. The decision stays with the district.
What guides the work
Capacity
The analytical capacity districts have lost to staff cuts, rebuilt through research they can use.
Credibility
A neutral, well-sourced account of a district's own story, one it can stand behind in the classroom and the boardroom.
Possibility
Tools to ask "what if?" and see possible futures clearly, so a district can progress according to its own strategic plan.
We support districts. We are not reformers, and we do not use a district's numbers against it.
